On February 26-27,2015, Metropolitan Nektarios of Hong Kong and South East Asia visited Philippines.

On February 26, Metropolitan Nektarios welcomed His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew who was traveling with French President Hollande in his Environment Mission to the Philippines.

Metropolitan Nektarios was also in attendance at the climate change forum held at the National Museum in the Philippines capital Manila.

His Eminence had the opportunity to meet with the priests of the Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong and South East Asia who serve in Philippines and with the Nuns of the Orthodox Monastery of the Nativity of Theotokos.

We note that the Orthodox Communities in Philippines are under the spiritual jurisdiction of the Orthodox Metropolitanate of Hong Kong and South East Asia.
